To help our customers take advantage of the savings that EnterpriseDB can provide, LISAsoft are now offering a series of training courses. These courses will cover all technical areas for the DBAs and System Architects, below is an overview of our current PostgreSQL courses:

PostgreSQL Administration Introduction
This course is an introduction to PostgreSQL. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will be familiar with PostgreSQL architecture and the configuration, maintenance, administration, backup and recovery of Postgres databases. In addition they will be introduced to the EnterpriseDB support arrangement and the various EnterpriseDB Postgres versions.
PostgreSQL High Availability
This course builds on the PostgresSQL Adminstration: Introduction course, providing an insight into ways to tune, manage and extend your Postgres database. In addition, highly available clusters will be investigated, providing the participants with the skills needed to ensure that their database achieves maximum throughput with minimum downtime.
PostgreSQL Oracle Migration and Replication
This course introduces the EnterpriseDB Oracle compatibility and database migration tools. At the conclusion of this course students will be able to identify suitable Oracle database migration candidates, replicate and migrate Oracle databases to EnterpriseDB.
PostgreSQL Tuning and Optimisation
This course presents advanced database tuning and optimisation. At the conclusion of this course students will be able to systematically investigate database performance and identify the most appropriate actions for resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
We are now taking admissions to the PostgreSQL Administration Introduction course, which is a 3 day course starting on the 4th of September and finishing on the 6th.
