1. What is BuddyFinder? buddyfinder.com is a new social networking service built specifically for Internet enabled mobile devices. It focuses on merging location-based services with social networks to help people connect with Buddies and places around them.

2.How does it work? The idea is simple, tell us where you are and we'll tell you who and what is around you. BuddyFinder is a service that helps you share information with the right people at the right time to help bring people together. Interactive maps let you zoom in or out, and move in all directions so you can orient yourself visually. Get a bird's eye view of your Buddies' location or desired points of interest.

3. How do I use it? To use the buddyfinder service, you must register for an account and provide some limited information including your mobile device details, name and location (optional). In addition, you can fill out your online profile with more information about your preferences. You can update this profile at any time.

4. How is my privacy kept? Your online profile and other information about you (Buddies, groups, maps, etc.) are NOT accessible to other users. You have complete control over who you communicate with and what information you make available. For example, your username and location. They cannot see other selected preferences in you profile. You can control how certain information is displayed by selectively choosing your friends or by editing your account preferences on your phone at any time. By logging in to BuddyFinder on your mobile device, your location can be shown or hidden to friends, send messages, check for addresses and interact with other BuddyFinder members absolutely free. Your mobile device number is only revealed to people that you choose to provide it to.

5. How do you know who my Buddies are? You need to tell us who your friends are, just like you did with those other social networking sites. Simply add their name and phone number.

6. I like the idea, but you're not in my city. Can you add my city? We're always thinking about how to expand BuddyFinder to new cities. If BuddyFinder is not currently available where you live, check back with us soon.

7. How much does BuddyFinder cost? We don't charge you anything for the service. Standard rates for an SMS do NOT apply as it is sent via BuddyFinder's own internet messaging system.

8. Help! I'm getting messages from people I don't even like! Do not accept people you don’t want to contact as your Buddy. You can set your visibility on and off for individual Buddies, groups or community. Our preference tool allows you to easily block people who you don't want to send or receive messages from. This preference can be changed as many times as you like. The best part is they will never find out that you blocked them.

9. How do I invite Buddies? Your Buddy list is made up of Buddies you invite through a simple process.  To Invite a Buddy, you simply enter their mobile device number and name.  Your Buddy will receive a UandMe invitation message by SMS, with a unique response code to ensure privacy. Once the invitation has been accepted each user has total control over who will be able to see their location and when.  At any time you can choose to "block" an individual user from knowing your location. Or if you wish to temporarily become invisible none of your friends will be able to view you.

10. How do I delete Buddies? If you look right below your Buddies’ username on your "My Buddies" page, you should see a "Delete Buddies" link.

11. How do I use Maps? By accessing the Maps and Directions menu link from the BuddyFinder platform you are given a choice to view maps/save maps/send maps, locate Points of Interest and access directions. By defining your current location and destination of your choice you can retrieve text instructions and a map with customized preferences of the shortest/quickest/logical route to the required destination. Maps can also pin point where selected friends are located currently.

12. I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it? All you have to do is go to our lost password link located on the login page and we'll take it from there.

13. How do I delete my profile? First off, we hate to see you go. If you insist on leaving us, there is an unregister link at the bottom of your profile page.
