ANZLIC Metadata Converter
The NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) needed to upgrade metadata elements within the Natural Resources Data Directory from ANZLIC Metadata Guidelines V2 to ANZLIC Metadata Profile version 1.2. Geoscience Australia had already provided an initial XSLT stylesheet to facilitate the conversion of common attributes. DECC retained metadata in some of the less used (and more difficult to convert) attribute fields and contacted LISAsoft for assistance.
LISAsoft extended Geoscience Australia’s XSLT stylesheet to convert all old metadata records to ISO compliant ANZLIC Metadata Profile (v1.2) including the additional fields used by DECC NSW metadata. Apart from simple mapping of elements the transformation included the non-linear conversion from three different parameters to an EPSG projection. | Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water, NSW

The project focused on documenting how to run the XSLT styesheets; and emphasised testing and conformance to the ANZLIC profile.
